The TuniCracy project is in partnership with the National Endowment
for Democracy (NED). Within the framework of this project, the youth of
Gabes were involved in the electoral observation mission. The
participants in the project carried out four observation missions in the
different regions of the governorate during the legislative and
presidential elections. The three days of coaching workshops in all
aspects of election observation were based on an interactive
approach, training and coaching of young people.
4 bottom-up regional consultation sessions were held in Gabes within
the framework of the TUNICRACY project from February 15 to 20, 2020
on the following bills:
The Water Code Draft Law;
The Deep and Comprehensive Free-Trade Agreement (ALECA);
The Social and Solidarity Economy Draft Law;
The Medical Malpractice and Patients’ Bill Of Rights Draft Law.
More than 80 representatives of governmental and non-governmental
institutions contributed to the drafting of the recommendations.
OVC also organized a regional online dialogue on “Higher education
during and after covid-19: challenges and opportunities of e-learning”
on Monday 18 th 2020, with the participation of representatives of
regional administrations, different stakeholders, experts and
representatives of parliamentary committees on the topic discussed.
